At a celebration I  noticed a man  stick his little finger into a glass of wine, remove the finger a flicking a drop of wine onto the ground.    I walked up to him, introduced myself and asked why he did that.   He responded that many years ago he had made a solemn promise to his mother.   It made no sense to me, so I asked,  "That doesn't make sense.  Why would your mother ask for such a silly promise?"  He smiled and said the exact promise I agreed to was:  "Thou shall not drink one drop of wine."
