. Many of us have been taught to leave ourselves out of the abundance equation -- to put everyone else ahead of ourselves. That's a false teaching. Stop it! Drop it! Before you can be of any value to anyone else, you must take care of yourself. You cannot help yourself or anyone else if you are living in fear, stress, anxiety, or desperation. You cannot get poor enough to make anyone else wealthy. You cannot get sick enough to make anyone else healthy. You can't possibly be hungry enough to fill someone else's belly. Commercial airlines demonstrate the take-care-of-yourself-first principle every day. Prior to take off, the flight attendant demonstrates what to do if, in case of an emergency and the oxygen masks are deployed. She says, "Put your own mask on first and then take care of your children." So fill your own cup first, but not from the ego perspective that I'm better than you, but from the perspective of "Do thyself no harm because we are all in this together." . |

. A tithe is a gift, given from a space of gratitude and generosity. A tithe is offered with loving concern for the well-being of others. A tithe is given without expectation of return and with no strings attached. It is commonly (but not necessarily) directed to a source from which the giver has received guidance, inspiration or some other spiritual gift. Tithing is not just a physical act. Tithing is a spiritual blessing for both giver and receiver. A tithe is usually thought of as a gift of money, and often that's the form it takes, but in actuality, a tithe can be anything that the tithe's recipient considers to be of value. It can be work done for someone else's benefit rather than for profit or personal gain. It can be caring for someone else. A tithe can be as simple as a smile and a word of encouragement. It is, in essence, an act of kindness, an act of giving, done from the mind set of being of service to others. As a result of caring about and showing concern for the well-being of others, a person becomes more strongly connected to the infinite flow of abundance, and the world starts returning to him that same care and consideration. To tithe is to focus on the positive, and on what can be. Contrary to common belief, money and the goods and services it represents, get bigger when we joyfully and enthusiastically share some of them with others. . |

. Abundance starts with tithing and tithing starts with taking care of yourself. If you are anything less than financially prosperous, we suggest that you take the money you have been tithing to your church or charity and tithe it first to yourself, and/or directly to someone else that you love, someone close to you who could use a little help. Tithe to yourself, not in the sense of indulging yourself and ignoring others, but in the sense of creating a core out of which you can create enough abundance for yourself so that you can joyfully and enthusiastically share some of it with others. Intentionally creating abundance must and always starts with one's own self. This is NOT greed; it's simply common sense. You cannot fill anyone else's cup if yours is empty. For Those Who Have Financial Concerns: If you say I'm too poor to tithe, consider the food you buy and feed to your children as tithing to them. Consider the shoes you buy for yourself as a tithe to your family's well being. You are already tithing! You have been tithing most of your life! It's just that someone with an interest in receiving your money has given you a false definition of tithing. Whatever you have ever done for the benefit of someone else is a tithe to the well-being of everyone, including yourself. You and I and everyone else are all part of a single, unified whole. There are no separations between man, nature, and Creator/God. Everyone and everything is part of a single, unified whole.

. What Is Community? A community is created when two or more people gather together and function together toward manifesting a mutually agreed upon goal. The key ingredients are: Partnership, Communication, Cooperation, Mutual support, Teamwork, freedom, Diversity of ideas. . In a well functioning community, decisions are made by consensus and not by the domination of the most powerful. A loving marriage is a private, personal example of this. NASA's fourteen-year-long and 2.3 billion dollar project of landing a space craft on one of Saturn's moons is is an excellent social example of this. When the NASA team finally succeeded, they were asked what were the key requirements for their success. They gave three answers: 1) communication 2) cooperation, and 3) diversity of ideas. Being part of a Mutual Support Community is very beneficial because almost everyone needs someone else to keep them on track, to be an outside observer, to keep them focused, to bring in a different perspective, to point out the pitfalls, to encourage in the low moments, and to simple to be nearby when a hug is the only response one can offer in a difficult moment. By nature, human beings are social animals. Without community, the humans species would be extinct. Today, much of the sense of community has been lost. One of our intentions is to recreate the concept of community. Another one of our goals is to infiltrate the world of money and to, step by step, one bite at a time, readjust the priorities from profits to people. Creating Safe, Dependable, High-yield, Tangible-asset Retirement Investments for the average person is one of our goals . |

. Where to Find the People to Be in Your Mutual-Support Community: Start at home with your significant other -- husband, wife, domestic partner. Share the essence of this project with him/her and invite his/her participation. Bring in you siblings, your own children, your parents, and anybody else in your immediate family. Reach out to other relatives and to your closest friends. Look among your work or business associates for people who might be interested. Approach your church leaders and fellow parishioners. Look among the members of your clubs and social groups. Another approach is to also let others know what you are doing and let them come to you. You'll very soon find people to participate with you in this adventure. When this program is activated, you will be able to join an existing mutual support team that you find by way of our website . . |

. Go back in time for a moment and imagine Robert Fulton creating the Steam engine. What did Mr. Fulton have to invent in order to create the steam engine? The answer is: Nothing! He merely put existing pieces of technology together in a way that no one before him had done. And when the steam engine was applied to the railroad, his creation altered the face of the planet forever. The TLC-Life-Center is also proposing to take some existing pieces and put them together in new ways. One of our goals is to assist people in creating financially oriented mutual support teams -- to empower people financially -- to assist people in keeping their retirement monies as safe as possible. |
