When one asks the question:  "What has been sacrificed in the name on Profits?"  The answer is clear.     The answer is "Everything!"   And the answer is not simply "profits."   It's "Short-term Profits. "   If you can find an exception, we'd like to know about it.  

When you look at the world, it appears that politicians run the world.   A closer look shows that, corporations own the structures that dominate governments.   Banking, insurance and oil corporations are the three major controllers of the governments.         

The next quarterly report is "GOD" in the big-dollar corporate world.   If you don't believe me or think that I'm exaggerating, I challenge you to find a major corporation that defies or ignores the next quarterly report.   The pursuit of profit for the investors is the only thing that matters.    

Fear sells.  The more the fear the easier the sell.   And the less likely that the public will question what the politicians are selling.    

Then there is the underground crime that takes in hundreds of billions of dollars every year.
